Better than the cover, which suggests straight to DVD gore, what actually transpires is a more run of the mill, low key ghost movie. Still well put together, with top notch set design and cinematography, it works best when it sticks to understated creepiness, and conjures up some genuine chills early on. Things get a bit cheesier as the ghosts get more over the top, and some sequences border on comically unbelievable. Still could be effective if you're a fan of the genre and okay with a film that shoots straight down the middle.
