Some reviews brought up comparisons with Hitchcock's movie rear window, which shares on a small scale a similar setting/premise. But that's pretty much it with similarities. Whereas the 50's classic is elegant, innovative shot and with a cast too beautiful to be true, plus an innovative story - well, a classic movie throughout..., nommer 37 is rather raw, deals with real time issues (I guess) and chooses a gritty path. Ultimately both have a very different story to tell...I prefer Hitchcock in every sort or way with a 10 vs 5.
