I think in the UK we like to 'discover' shows, and make them hits through word of mouth and growing interest, rather than having it rammed down our throats that a show will be amazing. Which is exactly what the BBC have done with this.
So we sit down, we expect it to be amazing with an air of scepticism, and all we end up with is a bog standard Sunday night drama, made a little better by some Hollywood actors in the cast.
Not great.
