The quality of this episode is a startling contrast to that of the previous one (Spearfish). The main mystery plot is fairly good but it is the style and sub-plot elements that make it so enjoyable: the witty one-liners from Jonathan; the endearingly infuriating chutzpah of Madeline; and the Renwickian mini-scenes of semi-surreality woven into a smooth and well-paced script.
