Warning: Spoilers
Jimmy Donovan has started bankruptcy proceedings against Sam Warren for an unpaid loan.

Donovan lent Warren money for a small restaurant in the square mile.

Despite living a lavish lifestyle, Warren claims he does not have a penny to his name. He is unable to repay the £10,000 owed to Donovan.

Warren and his wife attempt to flee London with his hidden assets but they find that Donovan is always just behind them. Donovan also knows that Warren used his restaurant to obtain inside information from the city types.

Kenneth Warren plays Sam Warren has a despicable cad. He is casually dismissive of his wife, has a mistress in another apartment, a member of a fancy club and expects lavish treatment despite his name appearing in the newspapers due to his money troubles.

Ronald Leigh-Hunt on the other hand is suave and gentlemanly but shrewd as well.

There is an obvious twist to the story. Warren should had remembered the old adage of a woman scorned.
