For two actors who apparently didn't get along, William Frawley and Vivian Vance fight and make up nicely in this episode, managing to sneer at each other one minute and look lovey-dovey the next even if they are one of the hottest TV couples in broadcast history. They've had a fight and have separated and aren't even sure what led to the fight or what caused them to walk out, so when they have a makeup dinner at Lucy and Ricky's, it's an easy reconciliation. But in the process of their reconciliation, Lucy and Ricky have a fight, dealing with their previous fight, arguing over who made them make up. Ricky storms out and spends the night out of the apartment, and Ethel steps into help, which Fred does for Ricky. This doesn't focus on slapstick or pantomime or the usual types of comedy that "Lucy" usually depended on so it is a much more personal episode and more real.
