The command tasked with retrieving naquadah has the classic colonialist mentality, but Daniel draws on his history and friendship with the Unas to try to reach a peaceful compromise. This is such a great use of SG-1's story continuity across seasons. It ends up being a moving version of how interaction with native peoples could have been on Earth.
