This movie is based on a good story and the screenplay is written nicely too. But I think the director became overwhelmed with the plot and was not able to execute it properly. It had all the elements of a good web series, but somehow something was missing.
Whenever a movie/series based on Indian Army is released, it is bound to be compared with URI: The Surgical Strike. That story was also based on a plot in the same genre, but the music made all the difference. In 1962: A War in the Hills, only one music is original and the rest foley sounds seem to be different versions of tunes we have heard before. Hence, the background score could have been better.
The actors did a good job and I feel this could be a one time watch.
