Revenge and Idiocy
24 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The principle story is about a woman and her daughter, shot in their homes. When it is looked into, the husband who arrived home late is looked at with more scrutiny. It turns out he was the principle suspect in the death of a private investigator. That PI's death has led to all kinds of difficulties for his adult children who have carried the weight on their backs--guilt and depression. A second story is about a car crashing into a tree. It turns out that some teenagers were out smashing mailboxes with baseball bats. The householder, who has had four of these destroyed, puts concrete in one and when it is hit, there is no give. This episode has always bugged me. I don't feel he is culpable because he is protecting his property. It is an act of violence to smash peoples property. Those jerks initiated this. He should be able to do what he wants with his mailbox. Nick thinks because he acted like a fool in high school, kids should be able to vandalize and attack people's property. There. My soapbox.
