The alien spaceship was to land on the moon in its way to Earth. And it dutifully does so, despite the moon having been blasted out of orbit, light years from Earth and having gone through a black hole!
It's a pretty good episode with interesting aliens.
Another perhaps minor flaw is: where has Simmonds been since Breakaway? With his personality, he would have always been in Koenig's office or Main Mission. I guess we must assume he was in a coma?
Also, does Koenig really need the computer to pick who the station doesn't need? Simmonds was a visiting bureaucrat, not personnel.
