Season 2, Episode 22
7/10
A bit overblown but enjoyable.

Warning: Spoilers
A fine guest cast here makes this an enjoyable episode. Bradford Dillman (Major Tom Parsons) thinks he has done 25 missions and now can go home. Not so fast. Andrew Duggan tells him he has only 24. Paul Burke wants him to fly as the pathfinder for a night bombing mission, most likely a one way trip. Parsons thinks he is being railroaded. An easy mission gone bad keeps him from number 25. We all know what's coming and, sure enough, Parsons flies the night mission. Surprisingly, he doesn't get killed. I like that ending. Antoinette Bower is along as the girlfriend that Parsons treats badly. Always enjoy seeing her but that aspect of the story seems like an add-on. Don Galloway (pre-Ironside) plays the best friend/potential rival for the girl. Duggan has a nice scene in reading the riot act to Parsons. He makes a good general. Tom Skerritt provides good support. A decent episode made better by Dillman's acting.
