Blackadder is appointed director of the soldiers variety show.
This is another episode showcasing fantastic comedy dialogue and great performances.
The plot is a slight retread of the gender shenanigans seen in the series two episode 'Bells', but with enough distinction of its own and relevance to the setting that it doesn't feel like recycled formula.
Importantly we get more incredibly funny dialogue, with an abundance of Blackadder's trademark comedy metaphors and similes that create the most hilarious images whenever I think of them.
All performances are brilliant with Rowan Atkinson leading the cast superbly. All support stars are perfect, particularly Stephen Fry as the certifiably mad General Melchett.
I rate this as 9.5/10 but like to round upwards.
