Rugged and handsome Audie Murphy and Michael Dante are a part of the legend of Quantrill's legendary gang of bandits in this colorful western that takes place after the civil war. They have been captured by bounty hunter Buster Crabbe and allowed to escape on one agreement, that they agree to help round up the rest of the gang. They end up in a camp of a Mexican and Native American mixed group where they are aided by the strong but generally kind Gloria Talbott who helps them escape the wrath of angry members of her own group, fighting up in the hills, as well as from those after them for escaping as well as other members of Quantrell's gang.
Filled with action and lots of conflict, this is fast moving and filled with gorgeous photography as well as the two handsome leading men and veteran action star Crabbe still looking quite virile. Talbott's character is quite interesting as she explains the old customs which she hopes are now gone, grateful to Murphy for aiding her when one of the gang members he hopes to take in tries to have his way with her. You can't go wrong with location footage filled westerns like this filled with the vivid colors of the great outdoors, something that definitely looked great on the big screen. A good story and a decent script and strong acting don't hurt either.
