Sackhoff almost carries this befuddled mass of steaming fertilizer to the very end. The plot is incoherent and the gotcha barely raises an eyebrow.
I've seen a few comments about the special effects and if the movie was made in the early 80s a few comments might have been justified. Speaking of effects from long long ago the film spends a great deal of time apeing 2001. I confess to having spent a lot of effort over many viewing getting to the heart of 2001, nothing I saw while watching 2036 suggesting it's worth even considering a second viewing.
Watched on Netflix (Jan 2021) kinda sorry I bothered.
