Absolutely brilliant
7 January 2021
I want to say that this show is not without it's flaws, but I still rated it as perfect. As a man, this show shined a light on an epidemic that I typically could ignore. Although I am not ignorant or insensitive to the plight that women all around the world face everyday, I can live my life without the fears that women go through. This show really hit me in my heart from the moment I knew what the premise was, and I sat uneasily watching the show develop and unfold. I was not disappointed.

Aside from the premise, I would like to just praise Michaela Cork, not only for her writing, her acting, her vision and her direction, but also for her bravery. Again, the stories shown on this program mirror the everyday realities of so many folks, whether they be women, gay, trans, etc. The realism was jarring, but it still allowed for moments of laughter, and never came off as pretentious or preachy.

There is no reason for this series to receive a second part, but I definitely look forward to more work from Michaela.
