Disney absolutely blew it with the Skywalker saga. Thankfully, their side stories have been mostly solid. Without spoiling anything, I will say this show does a fantastic job of telling its own story while providing plenty of fan service (and I mean good fan service) and remaining true to the real Star Wars Universe.
Absolutely love the show and cannot wait for more. Kathleen Kennedy, Ryan Johnson, and JJ Abrams better start taking notes.
