It showed the student behind what we saw on the surface.
It showed the depth of emotion that the coach inspired-tears, but also happiness, and uplifted.
It showed the coach and the players are SUCCESSFUL.
It showed a man who made his own way as a coach and a firefighter.
It showed mistakes of some students, brought on by limited experience and family challenges, did not define the person.
It showed there are no "stupid" students or "stupid" questions....what motivation did for many, and what the dyslexia diagnosis meant.
It showed the quirky, fascinating end-but that was because the team was PREPARED.
