Not really up to the source material. Here we are introduced to the delivery of the priceless yellow diamond, a gift to a young, vacuous woman named Rachel on her eighteenth birthday. She doesn't appreciate the incredible danger she is in. She is careless and stubborn. Two men are after her and she is under some pressure. We learn that there are those who wish harm in order to get their hands on the diamond. Of course, there is a nice narrative hook completing the first episode. One problem is that the writing is stilted and the acting is not all that great.
