Review of Rectify

Rectify (2013–2016)

Very touching. Doesn't matter who you are.

I've been a suspect in a murder investigation. I've been the innocent guy in the interrogation room. The victim was someone with whom I was romantically involved and it was too in a small Southern town. I had to stand back and watch while someone else was prosecuted for the crime. That person spent 17 years of his life sentence in prison before, with the assistance of Scheck's Innocence Project (The Innocence Project would have handled it for him but he was not on death row), he himself got his sentence vacated based on DNA evidence or lack thereof. Not a week goes by that I don't think about her and him and just how easy it would have been for an over zealous detective to make me guilty. I think the only reason why my wife didn't see my tears was she was trying to hide her own. This series rips the tears out of you through that grapefruit size lump in your throat. If you guys will make that last season and tie up all the loose ends, I'll come back and give it ten stars.
