A couple things just rubbed me wrong.
1. The plastic town in the beginning is shown to function perfectly fine without plants. People are happy and their needs are met with no visible downside. The animals are already dead from events that occured years prior. If humanity can function that well without nature, what's the point of trees?( Not that I'm antitree in the real world, but that's the real world, that's not what were shown)
2. Apparently, someone only cared about trees to impress a girl. So yeah, again in the world of the Lorax trees are real important. Like a fad.
3. The Lorax nearly drowns the Onceler before he starts chopping down loads of trees in an effort to get him to leave, but does nothing but talk once the actual destroying the environment thing begins.
4. The seed grew to a sapling in less than a day? If that's the case why didn't the Onceler replant the forest he destroyed instead of waiting years for some lovesick youth to take the seed back to town?
