The Naked Archaeologist (2005–2008)

An Honest Review

I can't say that I didn't enjoy this. There are enough cuts in it to make it vaguely feel like it was inspired by HBO's Dream On, and that made it fun to watch.

And there was a level for excitement that came with Simcha Jacobovici that just draws that viewer into it. It seems like Biblical Archaeology is a passion of his and that passion is contagious when you view it.

The only issue is when it comes to drawing conclusions about things where the hard evidence is almost nonexistent. You can't really take it without a grain of salt, but, aside from the conclusions it's a fun show to watch. And, despite the conclusions there is far more history here than you find on most of what the History Channel airs.... so, grain of salt.

But, it entertains, and that is the point.
