DESTRUCTION BABIES is a lesser effort released by Third Window films, usually at the cutting edge of Japanese low budget filmmaking. This one's a plotless effort about a psycho who enjoys fighting people in the streets, so the running time is absolutely packed with realistic punching action. But that's all you get. The characterisation is virtually nil, even for the subject matter, and even the social commentary on copycat violence and disaffected youth feels quite limited, especially for a near two hour running time. The end result is just unpleasant with very little to say for itself.
