With the first half of the episode, it felt a little flat. Something would find back in the first season. But wow, the second half picks it up really well.
What I really liked about this is what most bojack episodes perfect: the ending. But this one was a little different. For a second, there is a sense that bojack and his daughter will work things out and everything will be fine. And then she just sits there flicking through the channels on the tv. Nothing shocking or scarring happens and that is what's brilliant about it. There is this underlying dread of bojack losing his daughter and there is nothing he can do about it. Theres a moment of silence long enough for the audience to let it sink in and then the credits roll.
Absolutely brilliant
