THE SECRETARY is a very boring addition to the psycho-thriller genre of the mid 1990s, let down by its TV movie stylings and a kind of generic, seen-it-before-many-times feel to the proceedings. It's a story about a secretary, who'd have guessed it, who gets turned down for promotion and decides to wreak unholy revenge on the businessmen involved. Except all this leads to is plenty of weak scripting, hammy acting, and a tired, melodramatic flair to the action.
