Pathetic. Guide to "How not to make a movie"
13 September 2020
Nivin Pauly being a favourite among south indians for a few years through his romantic and comic films, brought audience to the screens for his first full fledged masala action role. "Mikhael"

Story line is very simple, as with any action flick. A hero, who gets into conflict with villains.

Film tries to establish the threat the villain posssess, the martial arts ability of hero and the cool persona both of em possess through umpteen slow-mo shots with no idea how to frame a scene. Protagonist is apparently skilled in karate, yet his fights seem like he was forced to do this.. Nivin Pauly's prev action flick "Action Hero Biju" had really good stunts thanks to Allan Amin.

Haneef Adani tries desperately to create an impact with bible quotes and references, sports cars and stylish outfits. He even kept the dialogues short inspired by Big B 2007. Everything badly misfired due to poor directing. Getting veteran actors like Siddique and KPAC Lalitha couldn't save the film, although they are the only memorable part in the film along with Gopi Sundar's bgm which often became irritating. Overdose of slowmo, poor dialogues, bad acting and boring action sequences. Haneef pushed his newborn into mortuary in style. Haneef himself proved it was not a one time mistake by scripting another pathetic film "Abrahaminte Santhathikal" where he followed the same pattern.

Every movie aspirant should watch this to learn, despite having a humongous budget, how a movie can go wrong.
