Warning: Spoilers
The star Donald Pleasance couldn't save this film. It was very dark, and I found it difficult to see anything watching this. It starts off with a mob killing three innocent women who were accused of witchcraft. It feels like other people who gave reviews haven't been watching the same film. There are very dangerous small towns people who feel threatened by the arrival of three strangers. These people have extremely warped ideas about a curse set 300 years ago. There are gross scenes and some boobs to keep viewers watching til the end. It was poorly made and there was no sense of logic to the film. There is a gathering for dinner and a local priest who sounded level headed so where was he when the locals decided to kill the so called witches in 1983, who were a school teacher, radio presenter and scientist? Why weren't there any police? And what were those monsters that the teacher was seeing? This was very bad although it had its own little charm, very rustic and witchy mania feel!.
