The Simpsons: That '90s Show (2008)
Season 19, Episode 11
1/10
One of the worst Simpsons episodes ever. It's not worthy of the title of the Simpsons.

Warning: Spoilers
Firstly, I personally don't think the Simpsons is declining in quality. I think it's consistent with earlier seasons, and at best is gaining in quality.

But this episode is really bad.

There is only one funny part in the whole episode, and that is the insulin gag. But now that we got the good part out of the way, let's get to the bad stuff.

Firstly, the characters don't feel like who you know. Homer doesn't act like homer, he acts like a normal 30-year-old, which is far from entertaining. Marge acts different too, not as kind or loving as before.

Secondly, the whole episode is grungy and pretty depressing. Homer gets real sad and starts a bad that plays sad and grungy music. Then marge becomes sad after she leaves Homer. Then Homer gets more sad. Pointless.

Finally, the episode explains something that DOESN'T need to be explained. They totally destroy the old story of Homer and Marge's relationship, and then try to shove this episode in. Why?!? The old story was fine, and this doesn't feel like the Simpsons. It feels like some grungy 90's show that only aired 4 episodes.

Overall, the episode is grungy, depressing, unfunny, unrelatable, and pointless. I can't think if a single redeeming quality. Skip this episode if you still can.
