In response to the other reviewer's bra comment, I believe that shot was meant to show either what Trevor was imagining or that their intellectual conversation was provocative and stimulating, like a sort of foreplay. Before that shot he says "cause nothing enthralls me more than seeing a beautiful woman... use her mind." To which Joelle responds during the shot "well, in that case." And then goes on to display her impressive knowledge.
