Spike the Bulldog discovers a gopher in his back yard and tries various means to get rid of it.This being a Tex Avery cartoon, you can imagine the results.
It's an enjoyable cartoon, but somehow not up to Avery's standards. there is a deliberate pace to the gags that makes them seem a little less funny than usual, and only a couple have a gag piled on top of a gag.
By the way, if you take a lot of gunpowder, put it in a pile and light a match to it, it will not explode. in fact, it will be hard put to burn steadily. I know this from experience.
