teen dramady garbage with disjointed action scenes
3 June 2020
Yet more woke garbage from an awful DC comics writer, the only thing good about this series is Luke Wilson, this series could actually be good if it wasn't for the awful writing, action sequences are rushed & disjointed, with Stargirl one second the staff acts like it's part of her, drawn to her like a magnet then in another scene its led on the ground inches from her hand & does nothing until the very last second before the bad guy gives the "kills shot" it then springs into life & protects her,yet in earlier scenes all she has to do is hold her hand out & the staff flys to her from any distance, this is garbage comic book writing the same garbage writing across all the DC shows, simply done for dramatic effect because the writer/writers lack the imagination to create well thought out decent action scenes, relying simply on flashy cgi to appease the viewer, the "Bridge" scene is another example of a poorly thought out action sequence, Stargirl & Stripe stand idly by watching the whole scene unfold yet do nothing to save the student from being hit by a conveniently speeding truck, yet seconds before Stripe covers the distance from the shore to the bridge in seconds & saves the bus from falling from the bridge, this show will mimick every other DC show, a 44 minute teen dramady with 4 minutes of superhero action slotted in, poor very poor. I give this a 5 simply for its production value & camerawork but this ISN'T a superhero action show, this is 1 step above a Disney+ children's show at best.
