1. The siren is a young, smiling, friendly women who is always in the lake, except when she briefly goes on shore.
2. The male protagonist is mute due to a throat injury; I don't know what that has to do with anything.
3. Among other things, there are frequent jumps back and forth between shots that take place at unknown times and didn't convey anything to me. There are many shots of one of her feet dangling in the water; I don't know what that means.
