The film is about champion's come back, a wife and a mother and the pains it takes for her to make that come back to Kabaddi.
The film is good in it's simplicity of the story telling. There isn't any unwanted dramas or over the top dramas (but the director couldn't help but make it Bollywoodish at times specially the final moments). The acting is decent be it Kangna, Neena or Richa. The kid is good in his role too. The music too is beautiful. It never was boring.
But there isn't anything new in the film that makes it extraordinary. That being said, there's nothing wrong in the film.
'Chak De India' has spoiled every sports film that has come post it. Chak De was such a phenomena that every film related to sports IS and WILL always be compared to it even if the underlying tones are something else like motherhood as in this film's case.
