Destroyed the essence of the whole storyline!

After 22e Srabon, I was anticipating a deserving sequel. I was so eager to see what Srijit Mukherjee does with the plot this time. But the only thing I got is utter disappointment. The execution here is so bad on so many levels.

The Cinematography, the Tonality of the film is nice, it sets up a pretty good vibe accordingly. The sound score has become repetitive at times. Especially whenever Anirban's Character shows up, the same sound has been used. Now I get it that was the theme track for his character. But what was the actual need for over excessive usage of the same tones over and over again?

The performances are just good. Nothing extraordinary except Anirban Bhattacharya. He is so versatile and can do different roles with ease. I hope he continues in same fashion. Parambrata was good generally but there were certain scenes where I felt him to be overreactive and over the top dramatic. That really did bother me. For such a renowned actor I don't expect such loose ends.

Now let's talk about the story and the ever debated 'Twist'. Well some might have liked it, some disliked. For me? Personally I would have love to keep it as an open ending. Rather than just giving all the explanations right away without much substance and clarity! Before the climax, the story feels dragged on so many occasions. Thanks to Some unnecessarily stretched scenes/conversations. And a relationship struggle, that never really settled on a conclusion nor did it give any essential input into the storyline. It was just there for the sake of pleasing the " Specific Fanbase".

When the twist hits, it certainly seemed clever and I was shocked at it too. At first it baffled me and more I started to think; the more it became illogical and dumb to be honest. As this is a direct sequel to '22e Srabon' many statements given towards the end made no sense at all. The explanations themselves sounded contrary to what we have already known from the previous instalment! It literally made no sense.

Overall I disliked the movie. As a thriller it was supposed to be fast paced and enthralling but instead we get a slow burner that never really left Its mark and in the end turned out to be a confusing dilemma.
