The show ran for twenty seven years. When it was finally cancelled it's ratings was in the single digits. It appeared that the format of the show never really changed. There is such a thing as too much exposure or popularity. Radio stations once had Michael Jackson and bee gee free weekends when they became too popular.
One show Daryl announced we're going to have Shania Twain on 'live.' She sang, then Daryl interviewed her, at the end she said she'd look forward to 'appearing on the show,' on the when she visited Australia. Daryl is Australia's version of Krusty the clown. Hey hey, kids, Retro's in!
