Such a silly motive. Elementary is usually an excellent show. Great acting, excellent script, compelling stories, even though it's heavy on exposition.
The good news for this episode of ELEMENTARY is that there's a bit less expositional than usual. The bad news is that the motive is utterly silly. The story is about a love triangle: a married woman, her husband, and her lover. Both the husband and her lover have clear and strong motives to kill her. It turns out that she is also the daughter of a serial killer. Anyway, I won't bore you with the details. Suffice it to say that she was murdered by her own brother because the two of them had agreed years ago that they would not have children so that their murderous genes would not be passed on to their progeny. But she didn't keep her side of the bargain. She got pregnant by her lover and decided to keep the baby, so her brother decided to kill her. As her brother kept repeating at the end of the show, "we had a deal, we had a deal". Sorry, I don't buy it in 1 million years.
