Just finished the movie, and I'm wiping away plenty of tears (yes, I'm tearing up and I'm a guy,, I've also been working with kids the last 14 yrs of my life,, and not one of them was unplanned, without a purpose, or unworthy of love). I think Pure Flix Movies just keep getting better and better!!
I quickly glanced through the bad reviews,, breaks my heart to see how many people didn't get the message.
Now,, this movie is not easy to watch. At times it is VERY uncomfortable to keep looking, and I'm certain that has kept a lot of people from watching it. Another uncomfortable to watch movie came out awhile back,, called the Passion of the Christ. No matter how uncomfortable, we all need to see both. There are several scenes that do a pretty good job of showing what happens in the abortion. Two actually - one in the clinic with a doctor (can't remember the correct procedure name), and one chemical abortion done thru meds at home. I'm not certain which depiction was more horrific (I've never seen an abortion being done, only read about it and seen pictures detailing the procedure). They did a really good job showing what happens without being obscenely graphic (speaking of which, to the people who complained about the graphic scenes,, are you kidding me?!? Gut up and get over it! I know it's uncomfortable to watch, but you see worse than this on regular tv).
Now, onto the cast. They were dang near perfect!! The actresses playing Abby and Cheryl especially! (I remember seeing the one playing Cheryl in Buffy!!) I loved how the Cheryl character was so cold! The actress playing Abby needs to be in a lot more of these movies, she was great!
