Leaves you out on a limb...

I love Rufus Sewell. If you can, catch him in Dark City (one of the most underrated films ever) and in the Illusionist, do so, you won't be disappointed. Sewell is the best thing about this film since he makes his character, Mark, a believable man.

The problem with this movie is the writing. Yes, it is slow, but some really good movies take their time. This film is a totally different "slow." This is a slow that leaves the viewer without any closure, with confusion and, and maybe anger (?) for wasting 2 hours?

You might feel you wasted two hours because after you search on the web for "what the hell was this about," you'll land on some well meaning writer's page, trying to explain the unexplainable, but it just doesn't do it, hence, the waste of your time.

Someone should tell this writer that we don't want to figure EVERYTHING out at the end. Good film means that yes, we may ponder at the end but all the questions should have been answered in the film, hidden though they may be. That formula would make many of us want to watch the film again, for any other "hidden clues." Having to fill in the blanks on your own (literally "guessing") is not the way to do it. Gave this 3 stars and only that many because Rufus Sewell is so awesome.
