Koko's Existential Angst
29 March 2020
Max is in a mean mood today. He takes disappearing powder and adds it to the ink. Then he traps Koko and Fitz in a world where everything vanishes.

It's surprisingly anguishing, and in many ways anticipates works like PENCIL MANIA and DUCK AMUCK. It wouldn't surprise me if it hadn't been done before, but the interaction between Max and Koko was a staple of the series. Add in the usual lack of boundaries between the land of cartoons and the outside world, and you have a hellaciously funny and telling cartoon.
