Despite some pretty funny stuff in the first half-hour, this ep of "Laugh-In" got lamer as it went on...

Well, this ep of "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In" seemed to start funnily enough with some good blackout gags, some amusing cut-ins from Angie Dickinson about then-hubby Burt Bacharach, and a funny sketch about voice artist Frank Welker auditioning for sound effects work. But then come several skits about the presidency with many revolved around fictional ones and only a few about current occupant Richard Nixon with at least one about Watergate-the first on the show-that was lame as all get out! Lisa Farrington does some amusing cut-ins about being a Farmer's Daughter. At least she doesn't say "Whoopie" this time! Also appearing are Monty Hall and Totie Fields. In summary though, this was one of the more lamer "Laugh-In" eps I've seen yet.
