IT'S ALIVE

Warning: Spoilers
"IT'S ALIVE" (2009, Rusnak) is a rubbish film. It makes the original look far better than it should and that is enough to discredit director Rusnak because Larry Cohen was no Scorsese and "IT'S ALIVE" (1974, Cohen) no masterpiece.

This film has no flare. No style. There's absolutely nothing memorable about this film except that it changes the wonderfully dramatic finale of the original, John P Ryan running through the sewers, wounded killer baby cradled in his arms, pursued by the police, all to Bernard Herrmann's crazily beautiful score, for James Murray pointing a gun at an upturned trash can.

And the baby? Very flat CGI. It's rubbish.
