The Grangers at Shiloh and some new neighbors are contesting a strip of land that the state land commissioner will eventually have to resolve. But the son
of the new neighbor William Bramley played by Tom Simcox starts a campaign
of both intimidation and public relations.
In this mix arrives Mel Torme who sings not a note, but plays a stranger who could be a notorious fast gun. He saves Doug McClure after Simcox sucker punches Trampas. He gets hired at Shiloh, but only as a handyman as per the episode title. Just like Shane was a handyman.
This was a good episode, but a really bad artificial ending was tacked on as you will see if you watch this.
