It gives me vibes from season 1&2 when we had a smaller with smaller problems like getting out of cave or building, which is more interesting than the big superhero type of events.
I believe they did a great job with Carol in very logical why, I love Carol but let's be honest she's been a psychopath since the third season.

Negan and alpha had the most weird crap I've seen in show but it's interesting to see where this goes.
