Fantastic acting and cinematography!

Warning: Spoilers
I actually really, really enjoyed this! The acting and focus on the characters was amazing, and if it had only been about these characters in the actual history of what these laundries were really about, I would have liked it anyways!

I do wish some stuff had been explained a little bit better. It seemed to rely a lot on horror tropes for the sake of getting the movie a horror rating. I wanted to know about the black mass stuff that appeared, then disappeared. I wanted to know if the nun that attacked the priests in the catacombs was just one crazy person, or if she represented all of them. And, were the nuns all cannibals? Vampires? What was going on exactly? The girl was clearly possessed, but by who or what? Was her baby a demon baby? Or a regular one?

I was hoping that, with all the other things this movie got right, it wouldn't do the thing that most low-budget horrors do when they make a very complex story...but it did. It forgot to tell us the rest of the story!

(Not being Irish or even well-versed in Irish history, I had no idea that hiding and/or killing kids was A Thing. I....didn't even know that these laundries were a thing! Holy moly, Ireland!)

In the end, that's my only real complaint: The story feels unfinished. If there's any backstory to add, I hope someone adds it at some point.
