People are saying that the first episode is good and then it gets worse.
Let me tell you the first episode was trash as well. It had cheap jumps scares, bad acting, rushed scenes etc.
It had new invented characters for some reason (that do not appear in the book).
I've read the book and I can safely say that it has none of the atmosphere the book had.
