Captain Mainwaring has been reprimanded by The Warden for using too much light, things get worse when four of the platoon man a lighthouse, and accidentally activate the light, illuminating Walmington on Sea.
This has been my favourite episode of this seriea so far, it boasts some great moments, Frazer's ghost story is a terrific moment, it really does show off just how good an actor John Laurie was. Mr Hodges reaction to the light, and of course the efforts of the quartet to dim the light.
It always makes me think how awful it must have been for the poor people during the blackouts to have no light, something we all take for granted.
