First rate insightful documentary focusing on the American band Bloodgood. Formed in the mid 80's during a time when the Heavy Metal / Rock genres were gaining popularity in the mainstream.
It follows the bands progress with interviews and archive footage, charting their successful career and centring on their desire to match faith based lyrics to this particular style of music, virtually unheard of at the time. Highlighting the obstacles thrown in their path, from bible bashing preachers who condemned outright this type of music, lambasting all who dared question their opinion, the prejudice from even other musicians who were equally vociferous in their own condemnation and then some......To the practical realities of trying to keep a band together, record label deals, promotion and support (or lack thereof), life on the road and the consummate dedication and effort put in to it all by these true "Metal Missionaries".
Regardless of whether or not you are a Christian, this documentary is a must see. Informative and a real eye opener, it captures your attention from beginning to end.
