Good bits. The music - a delight. The costumes in Sweetie Land were colourful. The cake scenery.
Bad bits. Where was the ballet????? Posing, prancing. If there was any ballet it was unmemorable. They mostly prance and pose.
Does not stick to the original story line in any way.
Role models for kids when taking them on a 'treat' to see this: smoking, sexual innuendos frequent, play cutting head off and shooting. Kissing and licking each other.
A group of eight year olds could do a more dignified performance and I'm not kidding.
We thought a fitting end to this DVD could only be some real nutcrackers which we enjoyed very much.
