You are no HBO, so if you can not afford to do it propely - do not do it at all. Show some flashbacks, skip it completely or concentrate on a tiny part of the conflict (like GoT did during earlier seasons). What was shown was... i am not going to mince words here - it was pathetic. Felt painfully cheap and fake.
