The timeline doesn't make sense. The time capsule was 50 years ago and built by Carol and Hannah's parents along with others. How was Carol not around during this great snowstorm? She would have been at least a teenager at the time. And how old were Hannah's parents if she's similar in age to Allie?
Otherwise it's typical hallmark fluff that passes the time.
