Bigil (2019)
2/10
Another bad one.

Once again Atlee - Vijay combo dissapoints me. Yes, I used to be a fan boy. Yes, I loved when Vijay delivered mass dialogues and gave me goosebumps. There's this saying in Malayalam which says "Adhikam Aayal Amrithum Visham"(Even Nectar becomes poison if it's too much). That's what's happening with Vijay movies now. He does too much. He tries to be more funny with that weird body wiggling. He makes too much voice modulation while delivering punch dialogues. Everything is just too much. Now, let's come to Bigil. In a film which claims to be dedicated to all women, Vijay defeats a women's football team single handedly on a 1 vs 11 match. And the heroine jumps into his bike when he asks her to be with him for 10 days. We have no idea why she would like him at all. Atlee copied lot of scenes from some other sports drama. And he made it worse. Only good thing about this was the character of Rayappan. Vijay has finally done something different from his previous roles. Watch Bigil to see that performance.
